As GoDaddy’s senior brand art director for the brand identity team, I’ve worked on 200+ projects ranging from small internal pieces to global launches. Here’s a sampling of mid-scale work I’ve created over the last 4 years.
Open We Stand pledge
As part of the larger pandemic response to support customers during an unprecedented time, we created the Open We Stand pledge. It publicly declared our commitment to choosing small and medium-sized businesses, rather than large chain businesses, whenever we opened our company’s wallet. We published the pledge in Inc. Magazine and on our social channels, OpenWeStand.org, and GoDaddy.com.
Global signage system
I worked closely with our facilities to design a global signage system in conjunction with GoDaddy’s new brand launch. The resulting signage was used across all 19 global campuses. Scottsdale and Tempe, Arizona locations shown.
and Governance report
For the past two years, I’ve overseen design and art direction of GoDaddy’s ESG report that covers the environmental, social, and governance initiatives we’ve undertaken to improve the world.
My team created an editorial-style format that makes the information easy to scan, process, and consume. The report received internal and external praise for its clear dissemination of complex ideas and straightforward presentation of data-heavy information.
GoDaddy internship 2021
GoDaddy welcomes 60 interns every summer to work side-by-side with teams on substantive projects. The Infinitely Connected theme for 2021’s fully digital intern class guided design decisions around making them feel part of the team even as they worked remotely in pajama pants.
In addition to the full swag kit of branded apparel, stickers, and tech-focused goodies, we also created custom digital avatars for each intern that they used across their social media platforms.
To help customers stay up to date on important business topics, my team created a library of branded e-books that distill complex information and lets readers track their success.
Integrating 20+ acquired brands
In recent years, GoDaddy has acquired companies to help expand its product catalog. In response to this business strategy, the brand team created a framework for integrating acquired brands into the GoDaddy primary brand in a systematic way that takes user affinity and brand maturity into account.
One example of this is Afternic, the industry leading domain aftermarket provider, which required a significant shift of brand assets and creative guidelines to introduce the company to GoDaddy’s customers.
